RapidOSS OpenNMS plugin is installed over RapidOSS, and some files installed with RapidOSS are overwritten by the OpenNMS plugin.
RapidOSS OpenNMS plugin extends the default RapidOSS model to support modeling of OpenNMS alarms, inventory data, and graphs, and includes connector scripts to populate RapidOSS repository with OpenNMS data.
In addition, the RapidOSS operations console is modified to support the OpenNMS integration.
Installation Steps
- RapidOSS should be installed first. See Getting Started section of the RapidOSS Administration Guide for help with installing RapidOSS.
- Download OpenNMS plugin and unzip to a temporary directory. The package consists of two directories. OpenNMS and RapidSuite. OpenNMS directory includes the files that needs to be added to OpenNMS, and RapidSuite directory includes the files that needs to be added to RapidOSS.
- Copy the RapidSuite directory into RS_HOME (i.e. /opt/RapidServer)
- Copy the OpenNMS directory into where OpenNMS is installed (i.e. /opt)
- Copy postgresql jdbc jar file into RS_HOME/RapidSuite/lib directory
- Start RapidOSS server. See Getting Started for details
